Smoothies are an amazing health-boosting start to the day. Making your own is far superior than buying them. You know exactly what's gone in them - you can boost their nutrient content with added superfoods, and you know your smoothie is ALIVE and not pasturised mush that's been sitting in a shop chiller for 2 days. Use organic wherever possible.

Whizz everything up in a high powered blender until smooth. Enjoy straight away or refrigerate till later, and try and consume the same day to benefit from all the living goodness. Look at all your ingredients before you make your smoothie to appreciate the quantity of products going it, this will remind you not to gulp down your smoothie in one go, but to drink slowly and mindfully.
