It is certainly true that we are nothing without our community. Our community plays a vital role in every area of our lives. Community means we are never alone, we have help and support around us. We grow and share and together all feel part of something greater than ourselves. Community means we grow our compassion and feel a connection to others. I am so grateful to my community and some of the wonderful people who have helped me along my journey, finding my way to teaching yoga, growing my nutritional therapy and catering businesses.
Here are some of the wonderful people in my community that I am delighted to call friends. They also include partners in heath and wellness events, small local business owners that I highly recommend and health-care practitioners.
www.tinyfishco.com My partner in all things wellness and yoga. We have worked on many projects together over the last 2 years. My wonderful friend, fellow foodie and incredible yogi, Kristina teaches beautful Vinyasa classes and Barre locally. Check out her website also for the dreamiest yoga leggings and tops.
www.vitalityhealth-fitness.co.uk My partner in yoga trapeze. Together we teach at @yogatrapezemaidenhead
Annie and I trained in Trapeze and Gravity yoga together with YOGABODY . Visit her own website for more classes she teaches here.
http://www.marlowhomeopathy.com My family's homeopath and a great resource for many local complementary therapies.
http://www.activehealthclinics.com Local chiropractors and other therapists in central Maidenhead. They have sorted my several back issues over the last few years.
http://www.healthwithin.co.uk Emma is a highly qualified and experienced naturopath. She is also a great resource for guidance on essential oils for therapeutic uses.
http://www.yogawithsam.co.uk I completed my 200hr yoga teacher training with Sam and will forever feel gratitude for Sam offering us students such a comprehensive and immersive teaching, right here on our doorstep and not in London where I thought teacher training would take me! Sam continues to inspire me, has become a great friend and is dedicated to bringing international yoga teachers to our community for workshops and post-grad teachings.
http://www.clarekeylock.com Clare is an incredible photographer and took many of the images for my website, as well as many of my children. Family and lifestyle photography.
http://www.talentbydesign.com Lovely Sarah is an amazing leadership development coach and holds training courses and bespoke programs, many of which have employee wellbeing at its core. We have partnered up before in the past on a "Healthy Body Health Mind' project - she is really passionate about bringing wellness in to the corporate world.
http://www.brightyellowcoaching.com What Tracy doesn't know about coaching is not worth knowing. Supporting and empowering women, team and leadership development.
http://www.bakedd.co.uk Great friends own this lovely artisan bakery in Maidenhead. We have partnered up on events and supperclubs in the past, this is such a special place. All the bread is made fresh in-house and their sourdough is out of this world. They have many great vegan options too. Highly recommend.
http://www.grapeandnectar.co.uk Two lovely girls both wine-trade professionals who honestly know everything there is to know about wines and more. N&F promotes and supports a healthy life balance and yes for us that includes beautiful wines on occasion! Grape and Nectar's aim is to demystify the world of wine, encouraging mindful drinking and introducing a philosophy of drinking better, not more.
http://www.inspirehotyoga.co.uk A few years ago there was a rumour that a hot yoga studio was opening in Maidenhead and there was a buzz of excitement in our little town. Since moving out of London I never expected to find somewhere I could practice hot yoga. This is a lovely friendly studio offering a wide variety of classes.
